BIMMERPOST NEWSSchnitzer's ACS5 Sport S 550i is Geneva Bound AC Schnitzer will be debuting its F10 550i ACS5 Sport S tuning program at Geneva next week. Improving on the already potent turbo powered standard 550i, Schnitzer turns up the power to achieve 397 kW / 540 hp + 750Nm torque. The ACS5 Sport 5's 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds would give the upcoming M5 a run for its money. Top speed runs out at 320kmh. AC Schnitzer will also be debuting its Z4 320d at Geneva. More specs, details, and pics to come from Geneva. Share this story

I would have thought an extra 140hp would pick up an additional 4 seconds, still its pretty sweet and like the unBMW paint job, its subtle enough to be okay.
I wish there were aftermarket BMW performance modification for the 550 that never would put in question the warranty.

Wow only 0.4 seconds faster with tons more power? I was expecting old M5 times like 4.2 or faster.
This will NOT give the new or old M5s a challenge and costs the same. |

This really does point out to me that the F10 550i is an incredibly fast car. If one really wanted to go the distance and get the soon to be available Dinan upgrade ... it would destroy any and all realistic competition including M's.
Problem is, is it worth giving up the warranty ... http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...=420043&page=2 I am not much of a fact dredger but Cidair in this post points out that factory numbers are: - M3 E92 M-DCT 0 -100 km/h = 4.6s - 550i xDrive 8-spd auto 0 -100 km/h = 4.8s Now take off the xdrive which is not for performance and adds extra weight, we are looking at a neck to neck 0- 100 km/h. Drop a Dinan upgrade in it and the M3 is sucking wind to catch up.

Jason, why do you guys include stuff like this, especially anything AC Schnitzer related, on the homepage? You have such great content most of the time related to official BMW news, and I don't think you need stories like this. It just cheapens the quality of the site IMO and promotes a company that makes a mockery the BMW brand.

wow, I guess changing from an art major was a good move, I must have a really low threshold but I didnt think the 550 was THAT bad. I mean, I wouldnt buy it but i have seen worse posted on here by owners.
