Not too shabby for a loaner!
My F10 535d was in the dealership for an EPS software upgrade yesterday and they gave me this as a loaner - told me to keep it for 24 hours if I wanted.

JON D..........please tell us the results of your EPS? (Electric Power Steering???) software upgrade?
Is there such a thing and if so, what were the results in your mind? Man.......that 6er is good looking! |

It looks as if this is an unwelcome characteristic of EPS that's here to stay. Nonetheless, I'll asses my F10 over a period of several days with an open mind and let you know what I think. ...and the dirty 520d I had for a loaner for three weeks while they were trying to find out what was wrong with my engine. Eventually replaces all six injectors. Problem solved? Of course not.

![]() What differences in the steering system could account for the better turn-in steering and better feedback? Between the F10 and F12 alot of the design is similar, but not knowing too much its hard to speculate. On the surface, its engine is lighter than the 535d by 60kgs up front, it has 20" rims on.. so if we net out these differences, are there fundamental differences in turn-in feel between the two platforms? |
