Hello, i have f10 550Xi with M package and i`v noticed that (i do not know the right word in english) well, i have pics:





And on my car one.. umm.. grill is open and other is closed :



So what is the difference and why ? ..

Well the car in the top pic does not have any silver cooling radiators behind the grilles but the white one has 3. I can't tell exactly from the pic of your car whether there are any radiators behind the grilles or not. It would have to do with individual specification.

If u have hot climate version then both grills will be open as additional cooling is required (extra radiator & oil cooler). For normal version at least 1 grill should be open for 535/550 (oil cooler only).

fwiw, my 2011 x5d w/sport pak is the same way - one open, one closed.
