Video: The F10 M5, the Ring, and Claudia Huertgen

COMMENTS

Well, this looks like fun. We've reported about the six lucky guys who were invited to the F10 M5 Fly and Drive event earlier this month (one of them was 5POST member benz61). M-Power.com has just published a new video starring the new M5, Claudia Huertgen, a German race car driver, and some happy passengers. This video includes some nice drifts and thus obviously doesn't reflect the fastest possible time for the car.

Enjoy the new M5 during a fun lap on the Nurburgring. Also remember that the new M5 will be available as regular Ring Taxi from 2012 on.

Stay tuned for more information on the new M5 including our IAA Frankfurt coverage next week. In the meantime, check out our previous coverage HERE.

That's Claudia Hürtgen, a pro racecar driver, female. Fantastic.

I find it a boring lap sorry. Clean and understeery.

The last part. The car feels like a gokart she says. Please keep it real lady. It s a nice car and it s fast and comfy en sporty but it s as far from a GoKart feel as you see a cow eating evening diner at the Hilton Hotel.

I recently had the pleasure to train with her at Spa Francorchamps this summer. She is without question the best driver BMW has. Claudia is fast fast fast. I was not lucky enough to have her as my instuctor at my previous nurburgring trainings but she runs the show. I suggest that anyone doing driver trainings should try to be in Claudia's group. You will learn from the best with her.

Leave it to Sabine to do all the crazy drifting Seriously though, she can't risk crashing into a wall trying to coax the car into oversteer. Still looked fun, and she is one damn fast girl.

Very impressive, especially when you consider there were four people in the car...that is easily an extra 500lb in weight.

I don't think I've ever chewed one piece of gum that much. Anyway, that is one hell-of-a car. Man I miss my E39 M5. The DZL will do........for now.

Just amazing. The old m5 was a blast to drive, I can only imagine how the new one is compared to the old one.

Can someone please ejector seat the guy in the front? I think the m5 would go faster as well.

LOL ik lach me hier kapot man. Je hebt wel gelijk natuurlijk. But that boat is pulling fast on the straights.

Ook lache betreffende dat folie op je 1M en dat Rody daar dan weer intrapte.

Cheers

Hürtgen is alright, but what do we have left , let's see: Priaulx, Farfus, the Müllers, Alzen.

What Advevo says is correct, but this car isn't really ment for tracking - even though it can and at a fast pace too (sub 8 minute at the Ring).

The perfect Autobahn car.

All of the motorsport drivers are fantastic. Top of their class. Had the pleasure to meet most of them and they are great guys. I suggest that people read about Claudia and her racing career to see how special she is.

+1
I also had her as my instructor when I was at Nürburgring last october doing the M3 experience. We were two in each car and at the end of the second day I got to ride with her in the instructors car. What a ride
