The 2011 Frankfurt IAA represents the F10 M5's general public reveal and BMW has strutted out not just the typical Monte Carlo Blue launch color, but also in Moonstone (Individual color), and Alpine White. It felt like ///M heaven walking into the M area.

There was also a Monte Carlo Blue M5 being used to drive around the BMW track in the exhibit hall, as well as the F10 M5 Safety Car.

The Alpine White M5 was paired with a gorgeous Sakhir Orange interior with black piano trim, and optional enhanced seats. Each M5 featured blue brakes, which are standard

Also, to solve any confusion regarding the F10 M5's steering, we confirmed that it is hydraulic steering.

Naturally, they didn't get on the throttle much at all because of the necessary slow speeds (super small track), but it sounded nice and throaty on startup.

But, there's plenty of videos in this M5 forum which shows how good the M5 sounds.

That AW is gorgeous! Also has hydraulic steering which is a good sign for the new M3/4.

The F10 M5 sure looks the part, Monte carlo is such a great colour as well.
No to different to Estoril?
The Alpine white as well, really suited the M5, and the interiour was pretty sick.
My personal opinion is that such a interiour colour in a 5, perhaps it suits the uhm, somewhat more "youthfull" 3 and 1 series better, but at a show, why not.
Not something i would want myself, but pretty cool nontheless imo.

Why do so many people say "I hate to say it or hate to admit"? I get the whole NA thing, but to me that car is sick first look. I want to drive one bad.

I love everything about the new M5. However I'm not the biggest fan of the side vents. Looks like a kia optima.

Surely someone will mod it to remove the chrome and paint it black or body color. Also, I can't help to think that the rear diffuser would look better in black rather than body color.

I've owned three Alpine White Bimmers in the past. I love the color, but I don't think it's the best color for the new M5.
White is a race color for sportier looking cars. The M5 is a beast, but better suited for a darker color as it's overall
more sophisticated and "grown-up" in styling IMO. And the hot red interior exacerbates the issue even further.
