Goodyear LS2 bubbles poll

How many have gotten a bubble or bubbles on there new Goodyear LS2 tires?

Front left tire.
Just got a huge on last week, and dealer tells me, its not covered.
I don't have the insurance, but from my past experience with my E90 M3, even with the insurance, sidewall tire damaged was not covered.

Bmw Tire Insurance , Conspiracy?

I Have A 2012 550xi Msport On Order And Am Dreading The Goodyear Ls-2 Runflats. Goodyear And Tire Rack Has No Stock On These Tires Because Bmw Has Bought All The Supply So That They Can Force Everybody To Pay Over $1700 For Tire Protection . Bmw Use To Sell The Insurance Through A 3rd Party But Saw There Was Alot Of Money To Make And Now Sells The Insurance Direct And Has Drove The Cost Of Insurance Sky High Because You Cant Buy These Tires Anywhere Except Through Bmw.

Thanks Sharbotcom,
Actually the tire manufactures changed there warranties for the Quebec market a few years back. Are road have become so bad, they don't cover any damages anymore.
But i was going to call the Quebec Goodyear customer service to find out more.
Because my dealer ship is useless. The service manager even to me to go see a tire shop that sold Goodyear to see if they could help.
Imagine you buy a brand new 90,000$ car, and they tell you to go see your local tire garage for tire warranty. Because i didn't get a separate tire warranty with them.
tire warranty is big time BS,

Bubble

BMW 535i Sport Package front tire Goodyear Excellence 245-40-19 has developed a small bubble in the outer sidewall. Goodyear's free road hazard warranty for run flats will cover entire cost up to 2/32 or 1 year. This BMW is 13 months, so only prorated coverage by tread wear as a percentage of the total new depth of 8/32 is allowed. Mounting and balancing is extra.
The warranty is shown here:

Just discovered a bubble last week in my front right tyre. (small)
I'm gonna keep driving it for a few weeks and then my winter tyres go on the car.
BMW doesn't give warranty on the tyres, but my "tyreman" is going to send the tyre to goodyear and try to get a new one.

As I've posted many times, bubble in front left tire at 300 miles, with no replacements available GY changed all four 245/40-19 LS2's to tires of my choice as long as the price was less than or equal to replacement LS2. Went to Michelin Pilot Super Sports, not RFT. At 10,000 miles and happy, huge performance improvement. Winter will bring 18" wheels, BMW 350M and Pilot Alpin PA3.

I just replaced my Goodyear LS2 RFT 245/40 R19 due to two bubbles. I have a 2011 535xi with just under 8000 miles. I have the BMW wheel and tire insurance so the replacement was done at no charge to me. I am not happy with the tires however and would have much preferred to have regular all season tires with a spare (what I had on my 2008 535xi).

Just got two bubbles (same tire) with a little under 8000 miles. Have 535xi with Goodyear LS2 RFT 245/40/R19. BMW wheel and tire insurance covered it but these tires obviously are not good for this car!!

1600 miles yes 1600 saw a bubble in the left front, took it to the dealer and they ended up replacing both front tires as they found a bubble in the other one as well. Good thing I got the tire and wheel insurance

There is a Goodyear 1 year (or 2/32's of wear) warranty (prorated thereafter) that comes with the car for replacement of the tires from all road hazards. So even without the the extra cost insurance you'd be covered for tires for a time. (see CD for details)

Just turned 8,000 on my 2011 535XI M-Sport. No problems so far with the 19" LS2. Next couple of months will be the test as pothole season goes into full blume.
