When will the facelift of the 5 series be released ?

I ask this because I plan to purchase the car with cash, and like any investment I want to get the best value out of it.

The car is on a 6-7 year cycle and is in the second year of production, so the 2014 model year is most likely when it gets a mid cycle refresh.

Generally, BMWs have 7 year cycles and the facelift/LCI is introduced in the 5th year. The F10 was rolled-out in the US as a MY2011, so best guess for the facelift would be MY2015. If it follows past practice, the MY2015 will be out in the US in either the spring or fall of 2014.

That's a major mistake, thinking of your car as an "investment". Your car is an "expense".
