Do expect the incentive to move up one notch in August.

Just guessing now ... $1500 or $2000

does anyone recall if the factory incentive of 3,500 provided last year was applied to a 528 x drive as well?

last year's incentive was applicable straight across the board, no matter it's 528 or 535 or 550

For $3500 (max out), it came Sept / October onwards.

Do take note that the incentive will vary from year to year, depends on leftover inventory level across Canada

For those who are interested, the incentive for August 2012:

535xi : $2k rebate, or $3k rebate cash purchase
528xi: $1k rebate, or $2k on cash purchase

The rates are valid until Oct. 1, 2012

Just waiting until September - bobble, does the credit apply when you take delivery or when you sign the papers?

Btw, on a side note, would you go for a 550 or a 535 (I need comfort seats, and with the msport on the 535, the price difference isn't very large between it and a 550). Though the 550 has horrible gas mileage.

In general, the credit applies when you take delivery. But you can certainly put that in writing as a clause that "if the factory credit allowance is greater (on delivery day) than the amount that was signed, I'm entitled to the greater amount"

The above poster suggests the Sept allowance remains the same as August. Therefore, if you want to wait til October to see what they have, you can start the process in the last week of Sept.

I would go for the comfort seat too. The Msport does add a sportier look to the car, therefore, I would pay that bit more to get both.

As for my 550 gas mileage. It's exactly what BMW has advertised. For the past two years, I am doing:

Summer - 14.5 L/100km - 80% City and 20% Hwy
Winter - 16L/100km - 80% City and 20% Hwy

If you are doing mostly highway, then those above numbers should be a bit better.

Nothings changed from last month. Only downside is the residual went down. So in essence if you were looking to lease, not good.

Within the GTA, you will have to call.

But out West ... should be plenty ... one example, 4 '2012' 528 sitting @ Calgary

9%

If you are going for 12 - aim for 8% off + current end of yr BMW factory credit allowance + any applicable loyalty credit

If you are going for 13 - aim for 6.5% off + any applicable loyalty credit

For 2013, I couldn't even find NAV as an option for 528. Part of option package for 535 and STD for 550.

Looking for a new 2012 528 xdrive with at most a premium and a sound package. Anyone knows if there are any remaining 2012 at the dealers.

I will check with a few dealers end of this week.

I've bought two cars and serviced three at Parkview BMW on Leslie. Service is top quality, IMO.
Used John Ghasabani, Assistant Pre-owned Manager twice.

I talked to Marenello and they said 4.5% off, max (2013 535). They said there wasn't any incentives or loyalty credits (I have bought three BMW's already). So I walked away...

THis was the last time I considered a 5 series

The new baby Panamera is coming out in 2016/2017, it should effectively seal the fate of the 5-series (esp the higher priced 80/90 K models).

the 528 will be the only bargain left.
