Another 535 quad tip conversion

I had my tips changed over to quads today. I ordered the black chrome double layer from cyba and just got the 550 diffuser.

I had the work done at Gary's Automotive in Kanata based on a suggestion from a friend. I had a number of other good suggestions (thanks bobblehead) but this worked out best for me based on convenience. John, the installer, was maticulous and all turned out well. He cut about an inch and a quarter off of the tips before welding them on.

$139 for the tips, $128 for the diffuser (I know it is cheaper from other dealers) and $199 for the labor.

Are they slanted, angled tips? or just 2 same length tips? 3" dia?

They are staggered (inner ones are longer) and slanted (cut inward on bottom). Therefore there is a left and right tip set.

If you look closely at the pictures you will see that the inner tip on both sides is actually sticking out slightly less than the original single tips did. The outer tips stick out slightly more even though they are slightly shorter because of the curvature of the bumper.

Yes, I believe they are 3".

From the pictures it looks like they just welded them straight on to the exhaust pack. Did it change the sound profile at all? I really like the look and I'm not interested in a sound mod yet.
