Obama was born in Kenya
Yep, the Harvard Law Review stated in its 1991 journal, "Obama's literary agent in 1991 booklet: Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

Miriam Goderich edited the text of the bio; she is now a partner at the Dystel & Goderich agency, which lists Obama as one of its current clients.
"This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me--an agency assistant at the time," Goderich wrote in an emailed statement to Yahoo News. "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more." You may now change the title of the thread, right? ![]() |

If you'd quit the left-right sniping long enough to read the entire piece, you'd see the point of the article is the history of Obama and his supporters in manipulating his public persona. Probably makes him like many politicians.
And that's just it, he's just like many politicians. Too much evidence to deny that reality. |

Don't you find it strange that they edited the piece in 2007 when Obama started campaigning? I mean up until then, there were no changes. Also, why would the author say Obama was born in Kenya? Why Kenya if it was a mistake? These people are obviously all liberals and didn't want to put Obama in this situation, and it took them long enough to fix the "mistake."

Yep, because the 2010 mid-term elections turned out so well for the democratic party. Obviously the way they turned out won't reflect Obama's re-election bid....
Look, independents and moderates are leaving Obama in droves especially when compared to 2008. Republicans will not vote for him and even democrats are not enthused. The young voters who supported Obama like crazy in 2008 are no longer excited about him and have found out that they still cannot find a job. |

Your first mistake was thinking anything with Breitbart's name on it would publish the truth. Sorry you got owned.

Talk about beating a dead horse. And here the whole time I thought he was from Zeta Reticuli sent here as an alien vanguard bent on world domination, no?
Come on... We've got bigger issues to worry about than where Obama was or was not born. How about the economy, deficit, a crumbling infrastructure (have you seen the state of highways, bridges, tunnels, and dams in this nation lately), education, the list goes on. We need a priority check.

It's 2012, and we are recovering from the Great Recession. Economy's improving, troops are coming home, America has been kept safe from terrorism, and the government is staying out of our personal lives. So why do we need Romney? He's the guy who first implemented "Obamacare", who wanted to let the US auto industry fold, who wants to invade Iran, who's on the wrong side of equal rights, who pissed-off all the immigrant-Americans. Oh, and whatever he says he stands for, we have video of him saying and doing the opposite. He has to be the weakest candidate ever to get nominated. The GOP picked more than a half-dozen different people to be frontrunners instead of him. So good luck with all that. ![]() |

Ok so how does she get the notion to list Kenya as his place of birth?
Then all of a sudden in 2007 they say it was a simple mistake...yeah people have the wrong country listed as their place of birth all the time. |

Exactly what the poster above me said. And no, I do not believe it was a mistake. The publishers had to double check the paper as well and you cannot tell me that Obama didn't even read the article about himself. If there was something inaccurate about him being born in Kenya, he would have told them and the mistake could have been fixed a lot sooner than 2007.

Since independents determine the outcome of the election, and like everybody else they're concerned about their retirements and the overall economy, I predict, come November:
Dow >13k and on the rise - Obama. Dow <12k and declining - Romney. 12-13k - too close to call. |

You don't get to create your own facts. He's been polling ahead or equal to Romney. Simple as that. Not slim. The economy will continue improving as a near certainty. You can hate him all you want, but you can't proclaim false information.
