creaking noise from seatbelt / B pillar

Does anyone know a cure for a sort of creaking noise coming from the seatbelt / B pillar?
If I'm sitting in slow moving traffic, If I move very slightly (even just breathing!) there is a lsight resistance on the seat belt as it goes in and out and this is making a sort of creaking noise. It as if the belt is not moving across what ever you call that thing in the B pillar

LOL. That's my solution for every noise coming out of a car. Seriously though, this should be an easy fix for the OP. If the noise is obvious BMW should repair the vehicle under warranty. Unfortunately if it comes and goes occasionally, then you will have to sell it to the service advisor.

I think mine is doing this, too. I originally thought it was my seat but it's not. The car is going in for a check tomorrow before a lengthy cross-country road trip and I'm going to have them take a look.

I had the same issue. It just disappeared after I adjusted the seat slightly.

On mine, i had a big rattle noise for weeks, and was getting worts and worst.
could'nt find it, until i check the passer seatbelt receptical.
The receptical was ratteling when not in used.
Had to drive the car with the passager seat belt in when riding alone.
But 1 week later, no more ratteling, weird...

Mine rattle, but until reading this I assumed the noise was coming from the passenger seat headrest. I will investigate.

Same issue here, on bumpy roads. The other squeaky noise comes from the seatbelt buckle rubbing on the leather seats.

BMW spent all that money tuning the chassis to be really quiet (reducing the road and outside noise), but failed to realize the noise is generated from the interior.

anyone find a solution whether that yourself or from a dealer?

Its really annoying if you haven't got the stereo on.

Sitting in traffic, you can hear it creak even as you breath in and out as the seatbelt moves!
