I've just ordered an F10 with HUD AND the Multi Function Instrument Display.

To do this the dealer has to forward date the quote on their system to week 36+. It then lets them add the Pro plus navigation and MFID together.

So as of next week I would imaging the online configurator will make sense....finally!

Finally! And my car starts final assembly next week (w36).

Is the F10 HUD the same as the F30 HUD? The F30 HUD has full color and lists street names with the turn by turn Nav directions.

Yes I'm told it is. Its a 2013 car so I won't know all the details (changes etc) for sure until it arrives in about 4 weeks time...

I hope you won't mind updating this thread, when your car arrives. I've been trying to look around online, but can't get a clear understanding if the F10/F30 HUDs are the same. The press release below says the F30 version is "unique". I drove an F30, and the HUD was impressive. And congrats on your new car!

Based on the post below, is there anything the F10 doesn't have, compared to the F30?

I don't think the F10 has anything less but this is BMW and given the fiasco over the new sat nav, MFID etc, what you order and what actually arrives is anyone's guess.

I'll update this thread when she gets here in a few weeks time.

Very good. I'm actually going to my dealer on Friday, and I'm going to ask them as well. It's always a crap-shoot if your dealer is clueless, but I can try to ask some feeler questions first to see just how in-tune they are with details and specifics like these. If I get some crazy answers like "Oh the new Professional Nav will only be on the updated 7er", then I know to stop all serious questions right then

The BMW build configurator now allows you to select the HUD and MFID together.

Interestingly it now works the way it did back in July when the dealers were saying it was a configuration error. My guess is that it was more likely a parts shortage......
