Iphone adapter issue ......

Just got the wife a 2013 535i.
Installed the adapter and was EXTREMELY disappointed to find out that Apple
has not given BMW licensing for texts to read on instrument panel.
Only Blackberry

WTF !!!!!!

Anyone know of a workaround ??

It is not a licensing problem, Apple has not fully implemented the protocols on the current software version on iPhone (iOS 5).

Wait until 12 Sep/ 21 Sep.
iOS6 should be available and this update of iPhone software supports email & text. I am running the Beta version and although not perfect yet, ios6 looks promising.

Do not despair... It will all work soon.

I think we will probably need BMW to give us an update for the software in our cars too before everything will work properly.

Does this also have something to do with MOG and Pandora not operating when the phone is in the cradle? Only works through Bluetooth.

Just an update... I updated my version of MOG on my iPhone and now it works beautifully through the iDrive while it is placed in the cradle. I am however still having issues w Pandora not connecting, even after I updated that app as well on my iPhone.
