SAD DAY!!550i MSPORT BROKEN

I am sad to report we were hit on left side by a super red light runner, driving a Mercedes SUV!! My wife(passenger) Has broken right wrist,3 broken bones in hand and web lacerations that look like it went through a meat grinder and according to the surgeon wont be able to work for 3-4 months. I am lucky with a sprained left wrist and some stitches from glass!!I am grateful we were not hurt worse!! We have spent a lot of time and $ on this car and am sick about it!!

Thank God both of you are alright with no serious injuries. It's a sad situation, however, like the earlier poster said, material things can be replaced. Really glad both you and your wife are ok.

Best wishes.

I am not sure how the insurance handles the aftermarket stuff, I have spent a ton on cosmetic parts for sure!

Sorry about the car and sorry to hear about your wife's injuries.

The damage to the car doesn't seem like it should have caused that bad injuries if you had seatbelts on.

If you kept all your receipts you might be able to make an argument. My brother's camaro got snatched and he didn't have his papers anymore for his 20"'s so they said he was SOL and wouldn't give him any more than what factory wheels would have been worth.

Did you catch that part about it being a Super Red light runner and a Mercedes SUV at that? I'm guessing the impact at an intersection was sufficient to spin dental's car around, so injuries that severe to the hand wouldn't be uncommon to someone trying to put a death grip on the door handle and having it ripped out.

Glad you are both mostly okay. So sorry about the car, that is such a bummer. Hopefully insurance can help if you provide all your receipts.

Sad to see the car like this and I'm glad both of you are ok.
Similar situation happened to me this year. The green light went off and somehow I just didn't really see it and as soon as I started moving a car passed on a very high speed! I was lucky I guess!
