Spare key cost

Does anyone have any idea what a spare key costs?

I'm on the verge of trading in my F10 for an F12 and I can't find the second key. All I know is that I put it somewhere safe - so safe, that after turning the house upside down for 6 hours, I can't find it!

Cancel the above, the dealer isn't bothered about the lack of a spare key.

They will probably be able to replace one at a very minimal cost.

Just what I thought, although I bet it would be a different story if you wanted to buy one .

For you reference, when i returned my E92 missing a key they charged me 150 but off set it with a under mileage refund. If i were to purchase the key it would have cost close to $300. Just return the car with one key, if they ask tell them you left it at home and can mail it to them.

As I said in my second post above, the dealer isn't bothered about the lack of a spare key.
In other words, I don't need it, but thanks anyway.

BMW are probably not worried about a spare key since no one needs keys to open or drive off in a BMW anymore anyway! LOL
