Hi All,

Does anyone have the above and, if so, can you let me know what the annual subscription is?

I'm looking at a 1 year old 640i convertible that has one (just as well, because LV wouldn't quote unless it has a tracker - I guess that's because it's a soft-top).

Is this something specific or do you mean BMW Assist? With Assist BMW can always see where I am on the road. So by rights if they can track me they are a tracker for insurance no?
If your car can support it its 120 a year...

As far as I know this is a hidden transponder and it's a dealer fitted option, in addition to and separate from BMW Assist.
I should be getting more information from the dealer later this morning and I'll let you know when I do.

As you say it's a dealer fit option. Some dealers fit Trackstar, others fit Tracker, so the subscription cost depends on which system is fitted in your specific case. Tracker subscription costs approx 150GBP per year.

I spoke with BMW assist about their ability to track our cars. Sadly they only get to see the location of the vehicle when a call is placed on the Assist capability. So unless a robber is lost and in need of directions to his fence...
