I dont think so. Look through the driver window you can see its the current dash integrated navigation screen. They wouldn't make such a huge change just for the facelift.

The LCI is for the entire 5 series line up, not just the M5. The M5 may have just hit the US market a little over a month ago, but the F10 has available to markets worldwide for a few years now.

Excuse me, I forgot to specify, v8 r8. And yes, I happen to be cross shopping the two as options for my next car. One hand I have a TT v8 super sedan, and on the other, a two door v8 somewhat "super car." To each his own.

Couple things to note my friend.

1)The R8 V8 sucks. It is about as slow as an M3 and while having owned an M3, I would be dissapointed if I had an R8 and it was about the same power. If you go R8, you go V10. NOT the V8.

2) I too am somewhat cross shopping these 2 cars, but perhaps differently then you are. If I get the F10 M5, it would be my one and only car. If I get the R8 V10, it would be my weekend/toy car and I would either keep my current Range Rover or perhaps pick up something a bit cheaper for daily driving. My point is, they are 2 very different cars. And I agree with b-thumper, that these 2 cars cannot be cross shopped as they serve 2 totally different purposes.

Actually BMW already introduce a IPAD style REAR ENT in the LCI 7 series. Seems the new 5 series will get this style next July.

I'm getting the new M6, forget everything else. possibly one of the best interior designs I've ever sat in.
I used to think the R8 had a great interior for the price, but M6 takes the trophy.

R8 had a great interior for the price?

The R8 interior was designed in the mid 2000s and it shows!

Its awful IMO, looks old and outdated.

Whats even more crazy is the fact that the 2013 R8 (facelifted model coming out in the next few months) has the same interior as the the 2008.

By the way, for what its worth. I am currently in the market for an R8 V10. So I have nothing against the car, in fact I love every aspect of it. The interior is the only thing lacking IMO.

Just as soon as you pop off and buy your dream car, they make changes to the nav, or an LCI comes out, or an entirely new car is out a few years later...

Sure hope the LCI has available LED headlights like the LCI x5, x6, 7er, and the new 6er...

If the updated changes don't make any performance differences, I can always live with it. Pre-LCI 5er looks good enough to me.
