Assigning buttons
Hi, Another question from me...
My Wife has a 2013 F10 and I an 09 E60. When I look at my dash there are a row of buttons marked 1-8. If I press one of them a message flashes up that states they are Unassigned. How can I use these? Is it possible to program them with things like: Navigate to Home Call my Wife Carry out a voice command Load BMW Assist Switch to TV Switch to Internet Switch to Music from my Hard Drive Show TPMS information Open the Boot? Oh and also is there an easy option to set music from the hard drive to repeat a track by default without me having to reset it manually at the end of each track using the wheel control? Can I set the PDC sensor to come on automatically when I park forwards? All the best, Sam |

You can just press the console button though, which I assume you already know.

You can program any function that is selectable on the iDrive. Go to the function (or phone number, or radio station) you want, then hold the programmable button down for about 2-3 seconds and it will store the selection. Then pressing the button quickly recalls it. Touching the button without pressing it will show what is programmed.
