My bad, read it wrong. Active steering is a stand alone option and it's only available for non-xi cars.

You can't have the Integral Active Steering option on an XDrive car. Those are incompatible options. If you are building a 550i, then you may add IAS. It is a standalone option. It isn't standard.
Also, the Dynamic Handling package is a separate thing than IAS. Dynamic Handling has to do with the amount of dampening over bumps. Integral Active Steering changes the amount of effort needed to steer the car. Especially at low speeds. IAS also adds some rear wheel steering. |

There is no 'just active steering'. On the F10, the only steering options are stock and IAS. You can't have IAS with XDrive. IAS is a totally standalone option. M Sport package does not include it. M Sport doesn't have any kind of steering changes. Suspension changes yes. Steering changes no.
My car has IAS. You really can't see the rear wheels turn. It's a pretty subtle effect. But I can definitely feel it. |
