Miles On A Tank - 535i

How many miles do you guys get out of your bmw 535i? Im thinking of buying one to replace my gas guzzling 745i that barely gets 500km with a 23 gallon tank....

It depends on your driving habits and city vs freeway driving. I had my car for upwards of 2 years now. In city driving in Toronto I would get anywhere between 400-500 kms on a tank (70 liters I believe). On the freeway I can easily do 800 Kms when going between Ottawa and Toronto. Obviously the more spirited you drive the less Kms you will get out of a tank. Hope this helps.

Here in Atlanta 32 minutes on a good day commute, 23 mpg 6 speed manual and getting 400 mpg jumping on it....

I've had my 535xi for 2 years. I drive 90% city, not stop and go, but city. I average 17mpg, usually get about 400km per tank. The max I've been able to achieve on the highway is 26mpg. Yes I know I am mixing mpg and km, but my brain works in mpg not l/100km.

That's very impressive.

I got about 340 max on D and about 310 in DS and that's 75% freeway and 25% local streets.

Same here. City with some highway or all city is not good at all. I am averaging 13 - 14 L / 100KM. I drove down to DC a few weeks back and even cruising at 130-140 KM/H through fairly hilly countryside I still managed about 8.6L which was showing arounf 750 KM on a full tank.

I'm usually getting about 400 miles to the tank when driving a little aggressive. 430 ish if I'm taking it easier. 80% highway commute with some heavy traffic.

I got 320-400 km depending on the driving style. the traffic is very bad in Indonesia.

I'm getting 24 mpg mostly city and an easy 29 mpg highway. 2013 535i xDrive with a JB4 S2. Mileage has been creeping up as the car breaks in too.

Your driving situation is one of the worst for fuel comsumption, so probably reflect that in the figures you get. Very hard to compare, as we all have variables in our driving mix.

Post break-in is no miracle thing either, typically consumption gradually improves, but don't expect great things if conditions stay the same. Need some steady highway driving to see decent mpg figures.

I get around 450km per tank in 80pct city driving. Ave speed is about 30-40kmh. With a bit more hoghway mileage, i can get 500-520 km and ave speed of about 50-60kmh.

My alltime max on one tank of fuel has been 1086 km, that was with the current F11.
I do not remember exactly how much was left/went in, it took around 67 litres I guess.
Going at max 1700 rpm will make this car do 1200kms on one tank, easily!
