DVD Audio Volume Problem

When I watch a DVD video in the car, I have to pump up the volume to hear it.

Of course, when I go back to any other source it's REALLY LOUD! Even a warning ding makes my ears bleed.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Same here (probably not as bad as yours, but still kinda loud when I switch back to radio)

It may be a "Feature"

Have same problem even though car recoded following replacement of head unit that failed after 10 days. Volume painful when you change audio source.
