To bad they couldnt give you the rest of the pulls.
Crazy how your car is all stock and losing power over 5k like mine.
BY 6k rpm your under 400 hp.
thats like stock.

So far only f10 I know of that didn't lose power over 5k rpm with the bms tune is my friend Brian who drove in stock, dyno'd stock. put the tune on at the dyno and did a few runs with the BMS tune.

BMW Adapting? Negatively?

Because the whole "DOWNPIPEs LOSING POWER BRO" looks like may not be the case anymore BROs

Im glad you took your car in. Turbo cars lose power no dought about it.
But my car made 467 and finished at 400 FLAT.
Arc's car made 440 and Finished at 400 FLAT.

ECU thing boys. Im telling u.

Black - I am going to fill up on race gas and crank the dial and get new numbers. I will be going to the Dynojet again. I understand that it is a higher reading dyno then the Mustang dyno. In all honesty the dynojet is an industry standard. So why not? All car manufacturers base there real life numbers through dyno jet.

I am excited to run race map. I will fill up with Race gas tomorrow.

Also please note my car was Extremely Hot before the runs were done. I drove an hour to get to the shop and I was averaging 80-140 tearing it up!.The runs were done immediatly after. There was maybe a 5 minute wait time( for strapping the car in) I actually had a warning alert come up that told me engine is to hot. There is no doubt these numbers would have been higher. Its common sense. Hot engine, hot turbo = lower numbers.

Why would you want a tune that falls on its face like that? What is BMS doing to fix this issue? I'd pass until this is resolved.

I don't blame you. Makes you wonder if BMS is worth it.

The worst part is my buddy Combat had the same issue and was told it was because he has downpipes. The tune in combination with the downpipes caused this... Well I am bone stock with a stage 1 BMS and I have the same problem. So its my Stock downpipes? Lol. I don't know man. I just hope someone is working on a fix for this. This car has a 4.4 liter V8 with 2 turbos. Come on!!! Evo and STI are pulling same power with tune and Bolton's on a freaking 2.0 -4 liter.
Let's make some moves!!!! This car should be at 500/500 with a tune! There is no reason it shouldn't.

The bms isn't falling on its face.
It's the ecu causing the issue.

My opinion.

Like I mentioned before the only car that didn't fall on its face is my friends 2014. Who put the tune on the car at the dyno. Adapting never happened.
So he didn't have a loss of power.

Either that or me and arc have bad engines lol

lLosing power at high rpms should be questioned. As long as people know what they are buying before hand. A real tune would maximise power throughout the entire rpm band. BMS needs to address these ghost "tunes".

I concur. A tune should be an improvement all around. Not a improvement here and suffering there. I don't think it's even a real tune.

Hey, I'm not complaining I'm just wondering if the stage 1 is really even ready for the streets. I think it needs more work. Otherwise the improvement in performance is there.. Just nowhere not where it should be. I think they can do better. If the funding is not there we should start a donation pool. I would deff donate!

The tune is great for what it is. That I will say. The car pulls hard. I do feel like it runs out of breath after 115mph

Agreed. I pull hard on my buddies car with BMS after ~100 mph. Probably explains why I trapped about 2 mph higher.

I'd expect better with downpipes, full exhaust, race gas, and "stage 2" : why aren't you in the 11's yet and trapping higher than 115?

I hope the snow is the only reason and not the fact that the "tune" is not performing as you'd expect. Sucks to be you with that crappy weather. Keep us posted whenever your able to get back to the track to chase down sub twelves.

Bms is a good product. Again, the power loss after 5k is an issue. No alot of dyno numbers out there. Arc and I both have the same problem. And I'm beating it's just the ecu. My friends 2014 didn't have that issue. Only difference between his car and ours was our tune was on and car was adapted to it. His was on for 4 dyno pulls. The tune went on, at the dyno.

So maybe it's the ecu Adapting and saying fu bms!!
But I'm no expert. That's just my guess.

Good theory. Shouldn't a tune be able to override the ecu?
