It should not unless you have some suspension problem in the future that BMW NA can demonstrably show is caused by the lowering springs.

You might also want to consider AC Schnitzer (ACS) springs - - they've got some good reviews - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...=1#post7224997.

I think part of the overall cost includes re-alignment. Dropping the car will change the suspension geometry some - - depends on the amount of drop. At least you may want to have the alignment checked post installation. Here's a good thread on alignments -

You might also want to look at eibachs, you can get a set directly from Tirerack as well.
