Thanks. That confirms my thoughts as well. I think if you leave 10kHz at +6, but set the treble to 0 or +1, it will sound better (all relative !)
Also, listen to expanded mode and normal mode multiple times; the expanded mode sounds better when the car is still, but in a moving car the normal mode sounds more natural.
I also tried another trick. Asked my better half to switch between normal/ expanded and I did not know which was which. All I noted was whether I liked the sound or not - and did this multiple times randomly. Eventually settled on normal with the settings above, but Treble at +2.
