As for pads, I’ve used Akebono on a previous BMW (2006 325i) and just recently changed to Akebono on my current f10. Previously I noticed much less dust and they seemed like decent pads for spirited street driving. Time will tell with the change in the current vehicle. I’ve also never replaced wear sensor, always reused old ones if undamaged.
