At what point will manufacturers run out of bragging rights on the 0-60 front? The new BMW 340i is hitting 60mph in 4 seconds, meaning the G80 will hit it in 3.2-3.5sec, then what? At what point will drivers be feeling sick? I suspect that 15 years from now, the 0-60 for most sporty cars will be around 2 seconds. When the madness stops, then what will manufacturers brag about? top speed? As if I can go 280mph in a freeway. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Tesla is already claiming 1.7 seconds to 60mph for their 2020-2021 coupe.
