Closing the loop here - I had the seat calibration message and tried calibrating both front seats by moving them all the way in each direction. I also tried moving them all the way forward and then pushing the button again. Neither method worked and the message returned after start-up. I tried this a few times.

I brought the car to the dealer today and they said they lubed the seat rails and had to perform the calibration 4 times for the message to clear. I could not get a coherent answer on the calibration method they used from the service writer. They charged for one hour of labor @ $156. plus tax and other BS fees for a total of $186.
