I own a 2013 520d SE with around 125k miles

Over the past few months I noticed on cold start the engine produces a flutter for a short period but disappears. Initially this occurred only in sub zero temperatures but more recently in warmer conditions

I was about to get it looked at but then today I noticed out of gear it will only rev to around 2500 revs.

Any ideas or advice welcome
