My deepest condolences to you. I've lost 2 Dad's.
Imo if he loved the car then keep it. Drive it on special occasions with your Mom.
Fix anything needed and keep it pistine in his memory. If he was a car guy what better tribute to him. The money is pointless in respect to his memory to you.
He'll be watching his car live on and you can enjoy that thought.
I'm so sorry for your Mom loosing her life's partner. The car must feeling secondary at this point but will be nice in the future to enjoy in his honor.
