Llarry , thanks for asking! Last week I transferred from a walker to a cane. Slow going and a bit scary, but they have me in a harness for using the cane so I don't fall. I also saw my surgeon on Tuesday. He was happy with my progress, and told me to stay positive. His next words were "you won't be "normal" again"... WTH? Stay positive??? Of course I will, but that was a bit of a kick to the sack. It is just over 3 months since being admitted to the hospital, and I am happy (for the most part) with my progress. A mere 6 weeks ago I couldn't even stand up. Now I do 200 sit to stand exercises every day. Staying the course with 4x/week therapy for the forseeable future, and I have nothing better to do than to get better! Thanks again for asking!
