I replaced ZGM because mine was 4SK and all ports were used. I recommend upgrading to 8SK even if you have an open port in your 4SK. That way it will be in its correct PIN and will be easy to diagnose and can support more retrofits in the future. It’s only $30 for the part. Use tool32 to change VIN then you connect to your car with ESYS to finish coding.
Based on my personal experience, this feature is not needed because I travel on single lane road a lot. It is helpful if you are in multiple lane road a lot. I did this retrofit just because I had to take apart the door harness to add wires for surround view camera and soft close so I figured why not two more wires

Thanks for your guys’ two cents. I definitely want to do this. I really appreciate how BMW designed the feature to not appear on the surface area of the mirror.
