Theoretically yes there should be no escape or cheating, could someone find a way - maybe, but it'll eventually get caught like the Ferrari oil burning scenario and patched up. If it was major like a team won a championship because of it then law suits would likely occur and bankrupt the team and probably cause them to shutter their doors or at the very least rebrand or resell. It didn't happen with Ferrari because they didn't win anything. Also the Ferrari debacle was electronic and software trickery not a physical part cheat so there's that.


Actually team mechanics will be doing the stripping while the inspectors watch and tell them how far to break it down. Clearly the inspectors aren't going to be doing the wrenching. So they'll just have the teams tear it down to bits and look at all the individual components.
