I love the E36/8 and agree with you completely on the 599. I never warmed up to that either but I'll wait to see how time treats that one. The headlights and floating C-pillar just seem misplaced. I guess if I find the 599 to be overdesigned, the Daytona is on the opposite end of the spectrum - completely underdesigned.
