Problem has now been resolved. It was water ingress in the base of the boot (trunk) and this was getting to the connector of the EMF module. We cleaned it out and let it dry and now hey presto it’s all good.
The actuator resistance was 1ohm on the cables so new it wasn’t the EMF actuators.
I have videos if anyone is interested in the process if you ever get this problem.
