You are correct, weight is definitely a concern here. Unsprung weight affects both handling and acceleration.
My upgrade from 348x36mm rotors (12.3kg) to 374x36mm (13.8kg) added 1.5kg per side since the same calipers was used. For me it was worth the added weight.

So if Im understanding this correctly I can run 374x36 rotors with same calipers I just need new caliper carriers? And if so can you tell me what year make and model Caliper carriers I need. I know you stated in earlier post but just wanting to make sure. Looking to run 374x36 BMW Drilled rotors part number 34112282805 and 806 on my 2015 535i.
