self install and no, did not remove wheel. however if you can indeed remove the wheel, it will be miles easier!

for the front, all you have to do is to turn the steering to one side so that the wheel is out of the way and give you some access. For the rear, there is enough space to just screw it on.

you will need an angle screw driver. you won't have speace for automatic screw driver so be prepared to screw things in manually.

you will also need to remove a hex bolt, or whatever you call those things, then put it back on with the mudflap in place. no need to drill holes, you will be using existing holes as well as a few new ones where the screws put a hole for you.
