I noticed absolutely no difference in behaviour on my 205-equipped 2011 535xi after coding to 2TB. When I first did it, I actually reversed it since it didn't do anything for me. I put it back when I retrofitted paddles late last fall and 2TB was part of the equation to get them to work. Note that I don't have a COMFORT/SPORT switch either.
As part of other warranty work I also got taken from a 2015-era istep to the latest in February and I noticed some changes in 1-2 and 2-3 shifts when really on it (i.e. the most aggressive shift program). When I refit my M PE for the summer I'll be listening to the sound of those shifts to see if I can further tell what's changed.
