Now I think it comes down to quality of the charger if you buy high end yes you probably could just hook up and forget it.
If you buy cheep I probably would get battery charged then take it off
what am trying to say just cycle on and off.
something to keep in mind keep it away from your car something like what I did on my car ^^^^^
