Used to use a straight.
Think mine was called a Shavette and would buy disposable blades that were for the straight.
Those straight razors can get bloody if your not paying attention or if you inadvertently slide sideways.
Tried safety for a while. And still use it occasionally.
Now I shave in shower with disposable.
