For F10 X-Drive owners, KWv3 is pretty much the only choice. There are spring kits that will work on X-Drive, but none of the usual shock manufacturers (Koni, Eibach, Bilstein) have put out stiffer dampers that will fit the X-Drive. Ditto for the coilover manufacturers. KW released coilovers but only in the V3 variant. Some people do just springs and keep stock dampers - that won't be my choice.
RWD F10s have lots of options, include the lesser variants from coilover manufacturers.
So - sure, KWv3s are a "waste" on an F10, but it's the only solution for X-Drive other than a springs-only approach if you want to sharpen up the chassis a bit. I wish KW released v1s for X-Drive, personally.
