Just a heads up, I downloaded Bimmercode yesterday (10/8/19) with iOS 13.1.2 and have had no issues connecting. I'm using a VeePeak Connector.
Bimmercode currently has a disclaimer on their website (appears to have been posted within the last couple of months) that the latest V-Gate devices, which OP is running, aren't working properly anymore.
