The week before last weekend while driving car, I remember some water got sprinkled onto car. At first I thought it was only from air conditioning dripping above and didn't pay any attention. Last weekend took my car to Keepre Pro to wash car, after wash I found many spots all over car. The spots are burned into the paint and there is no way to buff it out.
Took it to BMWHK, and service adviser said it must be repainted. The spots are mainly on the hood, front bumper, top of car and trunk. Only couple of spots on the fenders and door. Checked with my insurance company, it would be covered under my policy.(will not affect NCB if repair is under 100K) My question is should I claim insurance and have the whole car painted (worried it will affect resale value)? The car has only been used 3 months since new.
Or should I just pay myself and just paint the hood, front bumper and trunk?
