I wouldn't buy anything with mileage over 60k. My wife bought a CPO '12 528i in July with 38k miles for $28K. We forked out an extra $2600 for paid maintenance for the entire CPO so we're covered for warranty and maintenance costs until 2018. Chances are we won't keep the car that long but it's nice to know we won't spend another penny if something were to go wrong. These cars are so finicky and expensive to fix that I wouldn't buy a pre-owned one unless it was a CPO. At 60k, if they haven't been replaced, expect brakes, tires, possibly battery, all big ticket items.
