Then get an independent to inspect it. Then bring their findings to the dealer for work. Certainly worth the inspection fee if you’re keeping the car long term.
You can participate too by inspecting everything not under the car. The 50k is the factory bumper-to-bumper so now’s your chance.
Good instincts not trusting the dealer. I did the same thing as you on our E39. Trusted the dealer, fell flat. Story for another time.
