You will find folk who've never had it will tell you that you don't need it and folk that have, without having experienced an F10 without it, will tell you it's wonderful. And then there's folk who have Adaptive Drive who'll tell you that's even better.
I didn't have VDC on my F10 520d, and I did have it on my F10 535d because I found the 520d too crashy over poor roads. The 535d is obviously more nose-heavy than the 520d but the overall ride quality in Comfort and especially Comfort+ in the 535d was a big improvement IMHO. I was so convinced by VDC that I specc'ed it again on my G30.
HUD (which I also had on the 535d and liked so much it's also on my G30) & VDC is a rare combination. Suggest you have a look.
