I did my own. $200 CDN from dealer but they wanted extra 2 hrs to install so I declined. They are flat black but my info said they could be painted. I declined to paint. No brackets to install but each mudflap is a two piece pre construct that takes extra time. The install was easy enough and no wheel removal.
A quote from the owners manual from my 1973 2002 "the discerning bmw driver always install mudflaps for the benefit of all the vehicles that are overtaken"
