I don't agree with that sentiment exactly. However, I am having another issue on my 2011 550i they noted. They continue, "But some sharp bumps can reverberate throughout its structure." I have had a similar issue with the suspension on my 2011 550i. When I go over a "ledge" in the road, say an inch or so drop, the rear wheels make a loud thud and it feels like the car is bottoming out. It is very unnerving. Granted, I don't want a Lexus ride, but this is a bit much. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Suggestions?
I agree with your suspension issue. I have the same problem on my
two-week-old 528i. The ride seems particularly harsh, and the rear
suspension seems non-existent. I'm wondering how much of this
is attributable to the run-flat tires. I wish BMW would have given
us a choice: run-flats or standard tires. My 2003 325ci rode much
better and had a much more solid feel.
