there's some YouTube videos that show guys warming up the cars just help soften the bumper up front. when I did mine I noticed when I pulled out my double black slats that it seemed like it almost broke because there was no give. so before installing the new one's I let the car warm up for 5 min. they popped in but with just a little tweaks here and there just so I don't break them
