Haha who cares about the M designation? It's just a letter. I care more if these cars made it to north america than whether or not it has a letter M on the back.
They are probably doing a brand awareness campaign for ///M. A lot of people can't tell the difference between an M model and the non-M cars. These are strategies you think about when you are at the top of the charts amongst auto brands.
