I basically needed 3 hands to tug from each end, hold, and then sew. The entire time I'm irritated to no end by the smell of cheap leather and got to a point where I just went mad, ripped it out and tore it apart $65 down the drain.

I just received my Colourlock repair kit, so I'll be trying that next. Videos make it look magical, but we'll see.

I see a lot of nicely refurbished or customized steering wheels online but none are heated. Does anyone know of any that retain heating and vibro features, or at least a place that you can send your wheel off to to have it professionally refurbished?

Using soft leather for the most used part of the car has got to be the dumbest thing BMW continues to do.
Will be curious to see how colourlock works for you. If you want to go beyond that, a leather specialist respray would be more even. They use a spray gun. Factory leather is usually just dyed anyway.
